The Sundowner Tour is a unique experience that transports you into the magical world of the Ruhr region. As the sun sinks below the horizon and the evening light bathes everything in a warm glow, the journey begins aboard a double-decker open-top bus. Along the route, you’ll discover the impressive scenery of the coking plant and the Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that bears witness to the industrial history of the Ruhr region.

One of the highlights of the tour is a stop at a typical Ruhr Region kiosk. Here you’ll have time to pick up a little something to eat or simply have a friendly natter with the other participants. It’s these authentic moments that make the region so special.

The climb up to the slag heap on Beckstraße offers you a breathtaking view of the entire Ruhr region. The striking tetrahedron crowning the slag heap is not only an architectural highlight but also provides the perfect setting for watching the sunset.
